Back in March the Magpie children took delivery of a very special package, a tub of caterpillars. The children learnt about feeding and caring for these tiny crawlers, they took part in some craft projects. They kept them fed and watched them grow and when they turned slowly into chrysalises they kept them clean.
Then they hatched into beautiful butterflies and it was nearly time to let them go. And when the weather warmed up and the sun was shining, the children gathered in the garden and each butterfly was released to fly away and stretch their wings.
