Alver Valley Family Centre

Alver Valley Family Centre

The Alver Valley Family Centre is a centre of excellence building the future with families with one clear aim: to give children the best possible start in life. We are a friendly and welcoming community, working, learning and playing together to meet the needs of children in a supportive and stimulating environment.

Our team of practitioners and volunteers, from varied and different disciplines, work together with families to deliver services. We are constantly developing new approaches to offering information, support and services that families want. We share knowledge, experience and skills. Here everyone is nurtured and valued.

The Family Centre has been in operation since 2005 during that time there has been many changes but we are still here with the same aim of making life better for children, families and the community.

We work in partnership with the Alver and Lee Health Visiting team with the weekly Baby weigh in clinic and Breast feeding support group taking place in the centre on a Thursday from 9.15-11.15 as well 2 year old progress checks, introduction to solids and first time parent groups happening at other times.
