Michelle started at Magpies in 2011 as a level 2 student volunteer studying Children and Young People’s Workforce. After finishing her level 2 Michelle stayed at Magpies and began to undertake her level 3. While still studying Michelle was successful in being offered a practitioner position within Magpies. Michelle gained her level 3 qualification in 2013.
In 2015 Michelle enrolled in to Portsmouth University to study for her foundation degree in Early Years Care and Education. It was during this time that Michelle found that she had an interest in special educational needs. She then began to work more closely with the settings SENCo to further her knowledge in this area. This then lead to Michelle opting for SEND subject to form the basis of her dissertation at university. Michelle later became the lead SENCo for the setting. Michelle achieved her foundation degree and graduated in 2018. Michelle also became a team leader at Magpies during this period.
In September 2023 Michelle then took on the role of Early Years Manager for Dinky Ducks Nursery and Pre-School.
Michelle has lived in the local community since 1991 and has 3 children and a grandchild. In her spare time Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, walks along the beach and eating out.
